Welcome back to episode 7 of the With Grace and Faith Podcast! I’m your host, Brianne! And in today’s episode, we will discuss 3 things we can learn from the Proverbs 31 woman!
She is very admirable and the definition of what every woman should strive to be. Whether you are a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, or friend!
Here are 3 things that we can learn from the Proverbs 31 woman so that we can implement them in our lives!
In case you are not familiar with the fruits of the spirit, Paul mentions it in Galatians 5:22-23:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.”
Those same fruits of the spirit are the same one that the Proverbs 31 woman has! For instance, she is a joyful woman! In verse 25 it says,
“she is clothed in strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”
She also embodies kindness and gentleness towards others. In verse 20, it says,
“She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy”
That leads to the next thing we can learn from the proverbs 31 woman!
The proverbs 31 woman doesn’t sit and wait for things to happen; she makes things happen. In verse 13, it says,
“She selects wool and flax and works with her eager hands.”
She is eager and ready to work! Also in verse 15, it says,
“She gets up while it is still night, she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants.”
She gets to work before everyone else wakes up! Also, in verse 17, it says,
” She sets about her work vigorously, her arms are strong for her tasks.”
The Proverbs 31 woman is a strong woman who is willing and eager to work, and even gets up before everyone else! So admirable!
The last thing we can learn from the Proverbs 31 woman is…
In case you ever questioned if God is calling you to be a businesswoman, get this! God even called the proverbs 31 women to be a businesswoman!! In verse 16, it says,
“she considers a field and buys it out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.”
Also, in verse 16, it says,
“She sees that her trading is profitable and her lamp does not go out at night.”
She has a profitable business and stewards her money well!
All of that to say…
There is so much that we can take away from the Proverbs 31 woman but here are just some highlights once again that we can learn from her!
